Well it is over... We had our {Skyline} prom last night.. I am very tired and very relieved. We have started playing softball so our time is limited again. We love watching our Madison play. She is so athletic. We decided that the weather was nice this afternoon so we headed out for an afternoon of jet-ski fun. Tysce and Kayla did the usually trying to get each other wet, Madison just played on the dock {jumping up and down}. Little man decided he needed to ride with his mommy on the jet-ski so off we went. He told me that he needed to go fast like Lightening MaQueen{Cars Movie} We did not but we had a great time. He jumped off the dock to Kayla and they all were so cold. We will pay for this later.. They all had a great time. We are ready for summer. We love the water so much.
I will work on getting some recent picutres posted. I think I promised some from Prom.

Happy Easter
Today is a very special day at our house. We celebrate the life/death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Even though the children love to hunt/hide easter eggs we understand the true meaning behing this day the world has chosen to celebrate God's amazing gift.
We started the day off with a wonderful service by Elder Darrel Chambers. After church, we all went to Granny and Papaw's house for lunch and easter egg hunting with all the kids. We ended up with 238 eggs for 4 kids to hunt. Oh well. They enjoyed the fun..
We enjoyed getting to see cousins from near and far, cousins that have been sick, and cousins that have moved to another state. We enjoyed the love we shared today.
My camera is on the frits. Amanda was so nice to help me see if it is my camera or lens so in my next post we shall see. For if it is my camera, oh well it was nice taking pictrures. If it is my lens, I am going to purchase a new one and go on. Thanks Amanda.
I wish everyone a wonderful blessed week...
Miss Madison is heading back to the doctor and we hope to report a great check-up. She is not wanting to eat to much for me lately..... I wonder why?

Madison
Update:
She is feeling better today. Sunday was not a very good day. She tried to go to church and just did not feel like it.
She is gaining strength and has eaten some real food today. It was either eat or go back to the doctor for IV. I think that did the trick.

Lastly
After our trip to the White House we knew the walk that we had to make back so we started. We broke it up into segments. We stopped along the way and were able to see the "Hope" diamond. {please see the picture} I think it was pretty amazing. Nothing I would like to wear around my neck but it was very pretty.
We toured the room for the first ladies gowns. Jacqueline Kennedy was simply stunning. Of course I think Laura Bush is beautiful.
We made it back to the building where Laura was working and made plans for dinner.
We knew we had to head out on Wednesday so we called it an early evening and started gathering our belongings. We packed and were ready to load Laura's car the next morning. If you are planning a trip to DC and need to be near the Capitol, might I suggest the train to Union Station. It is right across the street. We left our stuff in Laura's car for the day while we stolled up and down the mall. We took lots and lots of pictures. Please see post for that. I did not want to drive you insane with a 1000 pictures on here.
We left DC at 6:30 and made a 2 hour stop about 30 minutes later. Apparently, a commuter train into Alexandria had broken down and we were going to take on a few of their passengers. Let me tell you how many a few passengers turned out to be.....200. They kept coming. They filled all the empty seats and then stood single file all the way through the cars of the train. Off we went with 200 extra passengers on board. Not fun at all. They rode a short 20 minutes to Alexandria where they were directed to exit.
We slept pretty well most of the way home. About twenty minutes outside of Atlanta we had a little action. Apparently a truck had become stuck on the tracks and we were not told in time to completely stop. Yep... bam we struck the truck.. OH well. We just felt the jolt. Happens alot I think because we were told to remain calm and Norfolk Southern would be there to investigate and we would be on our way. Yep.. 2 hours later we were. Paul, Tysce, Madison and Bryant were all in Anniston waiting on us. I called them to let them know we would be delayed. They were already upset but decided to go to the mall and see the Easter bunny.
We arrived in Anniston and recieved the biggest and best hugs ever!!!!
I think we were missed.
Bryant asks me everyday if I am going to Washington and if he can go? He wants to ride the train. He was all about that train.

More from Washington
I am back. Wow that was a long time to put kids to bed. HA..
Anyway,,,,,,, Back to the story.. After thinking I had filmed the entire presidential motorcade, I looked down to find that my video recorder was on standby. Story of my life. Jessica, Kayla and I will have to trust our memory to know we saw it.
We then headed on over to the Jefferson Memorial. It was simply anazing. So big. I was a little disappointed that the Cherry Blossoms were not in bloom. {quiz time: who were the Cherry Blossoms a gift from?}
We left the Jefferson Memorial to make our way to the FDR memorial. Now... I was in my element.. Strolling through history here was amazing. Seeing the information about WWII and the New Deal. I was taken back in time by the simplicity of the site and yet the importance of the entire thing.
Our tour guide informed us that the day with them was over and asked everyone where they would like to be dropped off. We decided that we wanted to go to the White House. {I mean after all we came to see that didnt we} So he informed us that it was about a 6 mile walk back to where Laura worked. We thought that was ok and set out on our adventure. We found the White House and made our way around both sides. {Ok so now I was not impressed at all.} This is where the President of the most powerful country in the world lives? It was not at all what I was expecting. Ok maybe I made myself think it should have been bigger. Nestled between the buildings that stood stories above it, we found it to be just another "white house" Ok so maybe it was a little bigger but I was much more impressed with the Capitol. I enjoyed knowing that I had been there, seen that, and even touched the grass. Kayla was impressed with the snipers on the top of the buildings all around it. Yea... We were two steps away from well.....never mind... We did not act like we were from Alabama.
