Its about time!!

Ha... I have made my New Year's Resolution early. Every Sunday I am going to sit down and post the happenings for our family. I have been horrible but I have made a decision...
Well.... It is almost Christmas. Where has the year gone? More importantly, where has my little girl gone? My baby turned 17 this week. It seems we celebrated for a week. She had a party on Sunday and even though not many showed up, we had a wonderful time. I told her I would change her birthday if I could. I hate that everyone is so wrapped up in the world nowadays that they cannot make time for family. You hate for your children to learn that lesson so early. She cried and my heart ached. On Wednesday, we took her to Shogun for a birthday supper. Her little brother is not fond of the entire cooking in front of you thing. He was wrapped around my neck the entire time. We had a great time though and she was smiling. That was all that matters.
She is doing very well in school and still has that boyfriend. Yea.. He is still around after a weekend trip to Nashville with the family... I will post some pictures of that.

Madison is very sick with a virus. She has had it for two days now. I am guessing that the rest of the family will take it right about Christmas time. Fun! Fun! I pray that little man does not get it. But.. if he does we will get through it just like we have with the rest of them.
Madison was able to spend her "caldwell cash" this week. (this is money that they earn for good behavior, grades, helping others, etc.) She was able to shop and spend it. Well.... My little sweet darling thought not of herself but her little brother. He is very into his trains and hot wheels. So she found a station that he use to play with all his cars. Is that not precious? We came home from school to find it sitting in the living room. She was all smiles.

Mr. Little Man is still the rule of the house. He is talking so much. His latest is singing the Christmas songs with the radio. I have ruined him, I know. I am sorry but he knows most of them now. He is so smart it is scary. He remembers things and tells us where stuff is at. He reminds me so much of Kayla at this age. He may look like Madison but he has Kayla's characteristics. It amazes me how they learn so fast these days. He counts to 10 and then starts over. We have also learned that he can spell his name. He says B..R...Y.. and then starts that again. Oh well, we are in no hurry.. As far as potty training goes... Who cares? He likes to potty one time a day and the rest he just hides.. When he is ready, we will tackle that stage in his life. Taking the passy away was a breeze.... Now maybe potty training will be. Ha. Ok. I am wishing but hey..

We are preparing for Christmas. We have our shopping done and presents wrapped. We are trying to teach the true meaning of Christmas to our children. It seems so commercialized and they must learn the true meaning. Yes, it is fun to receive presents and all but Jesus is the real reason for the season.
God Bless all of you...........Have a very Merry Christmas...

Thanksgiving and Christmas greetings. As I sit and take the time to reflect on another year of love, joy, sorrow, blessings, fun and excitement I am reminded of how precious life can be. God blesses us in so many ways. Times we feel HE has turned his back on us only to find the window has been opened. My life is blessed beyond measure. Three amazing children. Now there is Kayla, the oldest. She has been going through some very trying teenage times and now has matured into a very intelligent young lady. She still has her moments but she is so willing to help when we ask. (the having to ask is the teenager in her:) She is making exceptional grades in school, going to church, dating a really great guy and learning that life has its ups and downs.
Madison has undergone some changes in the past few weeks. She has changed schools, joined the swim team, and now has her father for her basketball coach. She is so sweet and loving. Just the other night I was very sick with a headache. I think I had my temperature taken 3 times before the night was up.
Little Man Kennamer is going through the most precious stage right now. He is ALL boy. He loves his mommy and knows right when to send those little hugs and kisses. He is repeating everything we say. The good and the bad. We must be very careful.
As winter approaches I cannot help but ponder if there will be snow. The most beautiful form of precipitation there is. Just to sit in the window and take it all in. Flake after flake. The purity! Our family wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.
I will leave you with on of my favorite quotes:
Dont go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention.

Updates

I am so bad at keeping up with our blog. If I had access during the day it would make things alot easier to do.
We are all doing well. Kayla is going to start basketball season, Madison has joined the swim team and loving every minute of it... Mr. Little man is growing like a weed. He is getting ready to trick or treat. He tickles us to death saying "trick or treat." I keep telling you that I am going to post new pictures but I just keep forgetting. I will try my best.

Fall is here

Fall is the most amazing time of the year. I am a fall nut.. Love the cool weather and
the fun around the house. The kids are doing great. We have had a few scares with little
man lately but God has blessed us beyond measure. Madison has joined the swim and
soccer teams so we stay busy with her. Kayla is a wild and crazy girl that enjoys life and
works hard to keep up her studies and basketball.
We took the kids to see Alabama play a few weeks ago and had the best time. We tailgated
and grilled out. Bryant got to see the football team and Coach Sabin walk up beside of us.
He waved to all of them. It was neat to get to see them in "street" clothes.
We are hoping to get to go to the pumpkin patch soon. Mr. Homer Tate has a really neat
place that we have visited every year since Kayla was in Kindergarten.
Well, we hope all are well and enjoying the cool weather.

Updates

Well, it has been a few weeks since I updated so I thought it was time. We started back to school. Can you believe it is already here? Kayla is a Junior now. Where has that time gone? Madison is now in the 4th grade. Little man is turning two August 25th. Two already!!!
We made a trip to the beach right before school started to be with Katie and Chris. They had the most beautiful beach wedding. I will have to get her permission to post some pictures. Of course I had to make some of my own. I am very slow about getting them up but I will try.
Ball season is right around the corner. Alabama football.... We are hoping to get to take the kids to a few games. We enjoy that so much....
I am now doing monogramming. My mom and I decided we needed a side business of our own so we bought us a machine and we are off. I have been learning this thing and am getting pretty good at it. I am still learning where to put the items and how to center them but it will all come together..
We look forward to seeing everyone. Take care:)

Birthday Celebration

Madison had a great swim party. She celebrated her 9th b'day for three days. A day a the mall, movies, and libby lu.... She was so excited. We took her to the Smokies for a few days. Nana and Papa were able to spoil her just a little more.
Bryant is growing so fast. He is learning so many new things, talking so plain, and getting into more trouble:)
Kayla will start her Junior year. Can you believe that? School will be starting back before we know it.
I am off to get the hair cut tomorrow. I have decided to go short for a little while. We will just see how it looks. I am excited.

Birthday Girl

We have a B'day girl on our hands. Our little Madison will be 9 years old Saturday. She is so exicted. We are having a pool party Friday night and then taking her to the Smokies for a little trip. We are all excited about that. So much fun!!! I cannot believe she is 9 already. That means little man will be two right around the corner. Where is the time going?
I am still getting use to the fact that I have a Junior in high school. Where has that time gone?
We are not looking forward to school starting back either. Where has our summer gone? It seems shorter and shorter.... Oh well..... We will cross that bridge in August...

Going Ball!!!

Well we played our frist tournamet games on Saturday, (not Allstars) but we played. We entered a tournament in Jasper, TN. We learned a lot from the day and found that we needed a little more practice. HA..
Last night we played at S'boro and lost our first game. We play again tonight and hopefully can pull it out. We are excited........ Keep your fingers crossed for the team. We pray God will take care of each player and protect them from injury.
We are looking forward to the 4th of July. It is one of our favorite holidays. We get together with family and cook-out and go to the lake. We have so much fun watching the fireworks. Unlce Steve had to go and sell his boat :( so now we cannot go out on the water and watch them. We are so sad.... (We still love you Uncle Steve) It was really fun to do that.
Madison will be celebrating a b'day on the 12th so we are making preparations for that. Andy and Amanda are going to welcome the arrival of baby #2 on the 11th so the next couple of weeks are going to be exciting for the Kennamer family...

Summer Fun!!

Yesterday we had our cousin Bowen and his mom and dad over to swim. Bryant loved being with his cousin. They both loved the pool. Bowen likes to jump in. Bryant liked Bowen's swim wings. It was pretty funny. Amanda and I finally got to lay out and enjoy ourselves when the daddy's arrived.
Madison is getting ready to play in the AllStar tournament this weekend. We are getting excited. They have practiced everyday and worked very hard. She comes home really tired.

Had Fun!!

We had a cool time at the Water park. Alabama Adventure! It is small but nice for the short drive. Bryant loved the lazy river. He and I would just float and float. He did not want to "ride" anything so we just chilled out in the kiddie area and let him do whatever he pleased. Taylor, Madison and Sarah had a blast in the "pre teen" area. They rode the water slide at least 30 times. I am glad they had fun. Taylor was a big help taking the girls for a ride.
Kayla and Kacey were just happy to be along. They rode everything and seemed to have had fun doing so. We were all tired when we got back home. The weather cooperated so that was cool.
We stopped at Cracker Barrel coming home and our waiter thought they were all mine. Now mind you I would love to have 7 children but wow!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful, Blessed Weekend

We enjoyed a wonderful Saturday to celebrate the 60th year of our Elder Gene Thomas at Union Church. We enjoyed the company of his son, Elder Troy Thomas and their family in our home. We love them so much.. We miss them already. At least they are coming every third Sunday to stay with us. Sister Rebecca and I are looking for Bro. Troy a job so keep praying.
Elder Joe Holder was blessed to fly in from California to be with us. He spoke to us on topics very seldom covered. It was such a joy and blessing to hear him.
We are getting ready for a trip to Mississippi to see Elder Hugh Sanders and his family. We are very excited. We hope to stay through Sunday services with them. We have visited in their home one time before but little Bryant was not here yet. Please pray for traveling grace!
We love you all....

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Well it has been a while since I posted. I am so excited.. My baby girl made ALLSTARS***
She will be working hard to practice and get ready for the games. It is going to be hot and she
will be tired.
My big girl is going to ball camp and playing hard at the gym all week.
Little man is growing so fast. I am enjoying being home with them all this summer.
We have been to Disney World!!! What a trip we had. Long drive and lots of fun! We got to see
the Space Shuttle launch and that was pretty amazing.
We are getting ready for Madison's 9th B'day. Can you believe she is going to be 9. Where has the time gone?
Hope all are well and we will be posting later.

Little man new look

Well, we got our first "real" big boy hair cut today and mommy lost it. Dad loves it and mommy cried like a baby.. . He looks like my little man. Still have just a tiny bit of curls but nothing like he had.
We are getting ready for our trip to see "Mickey Mouse" We are so excited. I will upload pics when we return. I promise this time.. I know I have been saying that but I am going to do it. I will have the summer to recover and post some pics. Hopefully I will get to take some that are worthy of posting.
The children have a new baby cousin. Mr. Camden Held arrived today. Kelly and Will are very exicted. The girls are ready to meet him. We hope to meet him soon.
Madison is still playing softball and killing the ball. She had hit 7 homeruns this season. She is a good little ball player. I tell her daddy that she takes after her mom and he just gives me that look.
Paul and I had an awesome weekend in Atlanta. We went to see the Eagles in concert on Friday night. WOW.. is all I can say. If you ever get the chance..... Would do it all over again. They were awesome....
Well I will close this post for now but we will post after our exciting trip.

Updates

Well... greetings from the homefront.
We have been so busy and not made time for our updates.
Here are a few.. 5 weeks of school left.... Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!
Kayla has had prom and mine is this weekend. She looked
so pretty... that is my baby.
Madison has started softball.. First game was tonight and
she won. She went 2 for 3 and doubled and singled. She scored twice.
She is our little softball player.
Bryant has been sneezing and coughing his little head off but then
again who isnt in this "yellow" world. Everything at our house is yellow..
Welcome to living in the south.
Mom and Dad went to Kentucky for a late b'day present for Paul. We fished
all weekend. When we finally arrived we found that the river was quite
a bit above flood stage and the river was wild. Trees floating in the water.
Well, all of you that know my husband know that he drives his boat like he does
his car so we went fast.. I watched and yelled when the trees were approaching.
We had a great time.
I am hoping to have a few pics loaded later. I make them and work so hard to
think they look good only to see they are not what they should be..

Updates

Hello everyone. We are hopefully on the mend. Everyone has had the stomach virus and hopefully that is it!! We enjoyed a beautiful, yet dangerous, trip to Skyline today only to find that school was cancelled. Bryant, Madison and Mom stayed home and played. Well Madison and Mom cleaned the bathroom while Bryant slept but we had a great time.
Kayla is running track this spring so we will be busy with that. Madison has decided to devote her time to basketball and not play softball this summer. I think Mom is more disappointed than anyone. She is so good at it, I simply hate to see her not play!
Summer and warmer weather are fast approaching. We are getting very excited about our spring break. The kids requested Disney World but mom and dad have a little different idea. We will wait and see.

All better!!

It seems our little stomach bug took a run through the house. I was the last to take it. Kayla is the only one that has dodged the bullet so far. I am so happy for her. Bryant was so sick. Paul seemed to have the worst case of it. My dad decided to play nurse and stayed with all of us. Poor Papa we hope he does not take it.
Basketball has come to a halt and last night was Kayla's last game. Madison has only two more then tournaments. The Lady Cats are hosting the Area and are expected to do well. We will be going on to watch them.
Check back for pics. We are taking some every now and then. This cold weather has halted our photo opps.

Well they are all sick!

First it was Madison on Tuesday. She came home with the stomach virus. Today Mr. B has it. I came home from work early to find that Paul was taking it. Stay away from our house. It is bad... Hopefully they will all be better for the B'day party this weekend...
